Note for Consideration of Management with regard to Scholarship Scheme:
- We must be careful about the attendance. No relaxation should be granted in the result % and attendance at any cost. For this reason, system of recording attendance in “Cumulative System” should be introduced immediately. For last year i.e. we need to depend upon the certificate given by the faculty members.
- The Scholarship should be given certain name like “Maharaja Ranjit Singh Scholarship” or “Mata Gujri Scholarship” and need to be published.
- The whole scheme should be published heavily so as to get advantage in terms of examination result and attendance for academic year 2007-08 and onwards. Any slackness in this will jeopardize the benefits and the purpose of scholarship would be defeated.
- While awarding the scholarship, attendance in the current semester [from beginning of the current semester till the date of award of scholarship] should also be considered. If any student is having poor attendance in the current semester/year, he/she should submit an undertaking for good attendance for remaining periods.
- For taking any significant advantage of the scheme, now the scholarship should be distributed at the earliest with a good function having important guests. It is proposed as this is a unique scheme declared at the college level and any person may like to come as guest.
- Scholarship function should be organized separately for each unit/college so as to derive maximum publicity benefit.
