Instructions for Green Citizen

  1. Turn off the lights whenever there is no need.
  2. Buy equipments with Energy Star Labels.
  3. Use energy efficient fluorescent bulbs.

  6. Use lowest wattage bulbs at night.
  7. Set the air conditioners on slightly higher temperature or open windows and use fans.
  8. Close the windows to maximize efficiency of air-conditioners and heaters.
  9. Buy smaller screen computer monitors.
  10. Prefer laptops to desktop computers.
  11. Share vehicles, newspapers, magazines etc.
  12. Use mechanical pencils & refillable pens.
  13. Reuse unwanted paper by making memo pads.
  14. Set your printers to draft mode.
  15. Reduce margin settings on pages so as to use maximum space.
  16. Buy & use 100% recycled paper products whenever possible.
  17. Prefer walking & cycling.
  18. Do the maximum possible plantation.
  19. Use reusable utensils rather than disposables.
  20. Conserve water by ensuring its judicious use.
